Dr. Raviraj Pillai is a seasoned pharmaceutical R&D leader with over 27 years of scientific leadership experiencespanning Generics (OTC and Rx), New Chemical Entities, Specialty, and Branded Generics with global pharmaceutical majors in the U.S. and India. As Scientific & R&D Advisor at GenZen Pharmaceuticals, he provides strategic guidance in product innovation, portfolio delivery, and organizational transformation to align R&D capabilities with business priorities.
He has directed the filing of 100+ ANDAs across multiple dosage forms, built the capability to deliver 15–20 differentiated innovations annually, and advanced NCE product development from discovery through Phase III clinical trials. A proven intrapreneur, Dr. Pillai excels at forging external research collaborations worldwide, driving portfolio delivery, and creating value for stakeholders. He is an inventor on numerous patents, author/co-author of 25+ peer-reviewed publications and serves as a reviewer for leading international journals in pharmaceutical sciences, drug delivery, and formulation technology.
