Umashankar T is a results-driven pharmaceutical leader with over 25 years of expertise in research and development of advanced drug delivery systems and complex formulations. At GenZen Pharmaceuticals, he provides senior leadership across R&D programs, leveraging deep technical and regulatory knowledge to deliver innovative therapies for regulated markets.
His experience spans emulsions, liposomes, peptides, microspheres, lyophilized and liquid injectables, iron complexes, low molecular weight heparins, oral solids, oral thin films (ODF), and transdermal drug delivery systems (TDDS). Umashankar is adept at leading Novel Drug Delivery Systems (NDDS) projects, analytical development, stability studies, and regulatory compliance (CDSCO, USFDA, TGA, ANVISA, MCC, MHRA). Recognized for mentoring high-performing analytical teams and fostering a culture of excellence, he has consistently delivered successful regulatory inspections and market-ready products.
